The RSPB Bird Fair - Rutland Water Aug 20th-22nd 2010
This is the event of the year if you're into birds and wildlife, and people come back year after year to prove it. The Fair takes place on the nature reserve at Rutland Water which itself is a huge water storage reservoir owned by Anglian Water. The nature reserve is a RAMSAR and Special Protection Area and is managed by The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.
In excess of 20,000 visitors now attend the Fair annually and over 300 exhibitors display their products. There is certainly something for everyone at the Birdfair and the sheer size of the Birdfair means that it is almost impossible to see everything in a day. Accommodation is always booked up for some distance around and Sysonby Knoll is perfectly situated just 20minutes drive away.
The British Birdwatching Fair opens at 9am and closes at 5:30pm Friday 20th August - Sunday 22nd August.
To avoid disappointment please contact us as soon as possible to reserve your accommodation for the Birdfair.
