We welcome well behaved children of all ages and children are permitted in all areas of the hotel.

We have two family rooms, one of which has a drop-down double bed (this room is one of the four-posters) and the other has a set of bunk beds in a connecting bedroom. Cots and/or extra beds can also be put into these and other rooms to accommodate larger families.

Our gardens are very attractive to children and there is plenty of space to let off steam away from the hotel. However, we would always remind Parents that supervision is essential at all times due to the pond, river and numerous different levels.

Our own two children, James (10) and Zoë (7), are usually evident at weekends, early evenings and during school holidays.

There are lots of opportunities for family days out within easy travelling distance of the hotel. Links to some of these are in the panel on the right.

Particularly recommended is Twinlakes Park, which is in Melton Mowbray itself and has plenty to occupy the Kids for a full day in all weathers.
