Those following us on twitter will have realised we have beeen nominated for the Melton Business Awards- ‘Best Eating Experience’.  After a mystery shopper visit we got through to the final three. The awards dinner was held on  25th March at the Market Tavern.  A team from the hotel attended to find out the outcome ! We won !! We were presented with the award by Stephen Hallam from the sponsors Samworth Brothers.

On Saturday the Rogers Group celebrated a 90th birthday. Included in the group were some ‘Thurmans’, Mr Thurman was the man who originally built Sysonby Knoll.  Various members of the family have stayed with us over the years, on this occasion we met Mr D Thurman from Norwich who was the great nephew. He remembers staying in the original house and we had some fun walking round trying to work out how things had changed, which was a lot!!!

Mothers Day was fully booked, all the dutiful families giving mother a day off. We had a special prize draw for the mums. All mothers were given a ticket to potentially win a prize. The top prize was a £60.00 voucher at BB’s Beauty Box in Melton, other prizes included wine, chocolates and flowers. The top prize winner was Mrs Ridge pictured below.
