The Burns night supper held with the Melton Rotary Club went really well with 72 guests enjoying the traditional supper. Piper Bill excelled himself and this year, his 2 daughters provided some extra musical accompaniment to the meal. Beef was carved at the tables, whisky was tasted (and drunk) and the raffle raised some money for Rotary funds. I cannot reveal the eventual time I manged to prod the last guests out of the bar who took advantage of the special rates offered on overnight accommodation !
