Easter Sunday proved as usual to be a busy Sunday Lunch. James and Zoe helped me to arrange a stack of Easter Eggs in the restaurant. Zoe then took her basket of tickets around all the diners inviting them to choose a ticket. As the saying goes everyone was a winner- some won little creme eggs but the lucky ones won larger eggs.

We then went off to the Easter Service at Sysonby Church. The church has just had its lighting and heating upgrade as well as a new carpet. It looked beautiful and we all benefitd from refreshments post service- more chocolate !

This weekend we played host to a visit to the area by the ‘Matching Green Classic Car Club’. The club members stayed 2 to 3 nights and visited many of the local sights taking advantage of the lovely country driving. The club brought a varity of vehicles with them, pictures of which we will post on the Car section of the web site - so have a peek to see if you can spot your favourite. The weekend went very well except for Mr Cooper managing to hit a pheasant denting his MG’s bonnet- the outcome as someone wrote on his bonnet:

Congratulations to Lindsay (one of our duty managers) on the birth of Evie Karen on 12th April. Mother and baby both doing well.

Mothering Sunday Lunch went well yesterday, a total of 81 meals. The Mothers all entered a free prize draw, Zoë and James handed out numbered home made badges. A draw  was then then held. The Muggleton party won a meal for 2 at the hotel, Mrs Kirk won  a beautifully decorated cake provided by the CAKE LADY  and the Hardy group won a bottle of bubbly. Congratutations to all and I hope everyone had a super Mothers Day.
