The first weekend in October is an important one in Melton, with the holding of the East Midlands Food and Drink Festival. This year it was held back at the cattle market in the town centre. The event proved successful. Zoe and I helped on the Melton Promotions stand and were able to chat to visitors and locals. I watched Stephen Hallam doing his pork pie demo, tasted lots of different types of food and drink and generally had a great afternoon. The guests who stayed with us for the second year running and visited were also impressed. Well done to all involved.
