Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

After nearly 3 weeks we have finished the refurbishment of the ladies toilets- just in time for Christmas. The comments have been very favourable, well done to Vicky, Gavin and Alan. Pictures for those not able to visit (men) will be posted shortly.

Christmas is here

Monday, November 28th, 2011

Christmas is approaching, we had the first few Christmas parties last week and it really starts this week. Most of the decorations are up,we have tried to avoid putting everything where it was last year and have introduced a few new bits. We haven’t made the lights on the trees outside hopefully next year ! James aand Zoe wanted a santa on a sleigh on the front- this was vetoed by the staff - (boring !)

Halloween

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

Halloween this year fell on a Monday and it was decided to do the Melton Rotary a themed evening dinner. The function room was decorated from our spooky stocks and with the borrowing of some bits from the Twinlakes fright night. The guests duly arrived some of whom dressed up (some hard to tell !)  The candles and the smoke machine provided an excellent atmosphere together with the speaker who recounted spooky stories. One not to be missed next year. Well done chef Sue excellent menu.
