I am afraid we had to postpone the Dual pupms BBQ the weather forecast was not good, wind, rain and cold. it will now be in September- i have to say as the rain was coming down on the Friday I am pleased we made that decision. Lots of other things happend and to look forward to;

- Yes we have had a Christmas menu meeting - can’t quite believe it ! menus hopefully sorted.

-Zoe won her sprint race at Sports Day which managed to avoid the rain and proudly sported a blue winners ribbon all day.

-Next weekend in the Melton Country Fair on 1st July and Tuesday 3rd July we get our visit from the Olympic Torch.

- Room 33 out next week for a paint job

- Vicky just about to order lots of curtains, etc for an upgrade to some of the rooms !!

Last weekend was a busy one.

Saturday was the wedding reception for Liz and Martin Hollingshead. The weather was not great but the day went really well, the Jazz quartet was great, the bride looked lovely and everyone said they had a great time - what more could you ask for ! - congratulations and best wishes to the happy couple.

Fathers day on Sunday was a busy one the prize draw for the whisky proved popular.

This week we are hoping to sort out the Christmas menus and it doesn’t even feel as if summer is here yet! I hope the weather picks up it is school Sports Day tomorrow- James is an egg and spoon whizz. We also have the annual Dual Pumps summer BBQ in the gardens on Friday so we hope for good weather.
