Pet friendly hotels are rarely this good!

Pets have always been very welcome at Sysonby Knoll and we make no additional charge if you are bringing one dog. There are few genuinely pet friendly hotels in the area and even fewer with as much space as we have for your dog to let off steam.

Pets Welcomed by the resident Hosts

Your Dog's Hosts will be Stalky and Twiglet, minature
shorthaired Dachshunds - Stalky is now 14 years old
and is still trying to train Twiglet as security assistant.

Please note the following points:

One dog is accommodated free of charge.
Additional dogs are charged at £5.00 per stay.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in all areas of the hotel except the restaurant. Please remember not everyone likes dogs and be prepared to remove yours if it is causing annoyance or discomfort to other guests.
In the interests of those with allergies, the annexe and the four poster rooms are pet free zones.
We have plenty of space for free excercise in the field, but in consideration of other guests we ask you to keep your dog on a lead in the upper gardens, car park, courtyard and inside the hotel.
It is not necessary to scoop in the field. Please scoop in all other areas and put the bags in the green wheelie bin in the courtyard.
There is a river at the bottom of the field - if your pooch decides to go for a swim we can provide old towels (ours always fancies her chances with the moorhens!)
Stalky does not always welcome other dogs with open arms. Before bringing your dog into reception please let us know and we will remove ours!
Forgotten something critical? Stalky can lend most essentials.
In line with most other pet friendly hotels we would prefer you not to leave dogs unattended in the bedrooms.
